Do I need to wear a mask? Will I be safe voting in-person?

We recommend wearing a mask for everyone’s safety. However, wearing a mask while voting on Election Day is not required.

We recommend that all voters take precautions issued by the CDC and Brown County Health Department, namely staying at least 6 feet apart from others, washing or sanitizing your hands frequently, coughing/sneezing into your sleeve, not your hand and monitoring your symptoms.

All poll workers will be wearing masks, will sit behind cough guards and will clean voting surfaces frequently.  We’ll provide hand sanitizer and clean pens for voters. We also recommend washing your hands after you arrive back at your home or work.
