Bulk Household Items

Bulk household items can be taken to drop off locations at the East (1820 Mills Street) or West (519 South Oneida Street) Municipal Garages.

Please note: the entrances to these sites are on Deckner (East Side) and Redwood (West Side).

Both garage locations are open for Green Bay residents to drop off bulk household items during the following hours:
Monday-Thursday 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Friday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The 2nd and 3rd Saturdays of each month from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. (noon)

All persons wishing to bring bulk household items to either of these sites must bring proof of residency within the City of Green Bay. 

Residents of Allouez, Ashwaubenon, Bellevue, De Pere, Town of Green Bay, Town of Scott, Wrightstown and other towns or villages are not allowed to dispose of bulk household items at these sites.

Call the Department of Public Works Operations Division at (920) 448-3535 for special hours around major holidays or for general questions regarding the bulk household drop-off sites.

Acceptable and Unacceptable Items

Bulk Household items include:

  • Basketball Hoops
  • Beds, Bed Frames, Box Springs, Mattresses
  • Bikes
  • Chairs
  • Chainsaws, Snowblowers, Tillers
  • Christmas Trees (flocked white)
  • Artificial Christmas Trees and Wreaths
  • Couches, Loveseats, Sofas
  • Cribs
  • Desks
  • Entertainment Centers
  • Exercise Equipment
  • Free-Standing Cabinets
  • Grills (Propane Tank Removed)
  • Hot Tub
  • Ladders
  • Lawn and Holiday Display Items
  • Lawn/Patio Furniture, Patio Gazebo (disassembled)
  • Mowers (Oil, Gas, and Filters Removed)
  • Rakes, Shovels
  • Swing Sets
  • Tables

Items not accepted at these locations include:

Bulk household items may also be taken to the Brown County Transfer Station, fees will apply.

Fee

While a collection service is not provided by the City of Green Bay, if Bulk Household items are placed curbside the property owner will be invoiced as follows:

  • $95 up to and including 3 cubic yards
  • $190 over 3 cubic yards to 10 cubic yards
  • $285 over 10 cubic yards
