Class Descriptions

Aqua Fitness
Each week will feature a fun and challenging workout in the water that will include cardio, strength and balance for all fitness levels.

Boost
This 30-minute class is the perfect option for the busy athlete who needs to get in, get sweaty, and get back to their day. Each class consists of a warm up followed by a fast-paced workout of various combinations of simple body-weight movements, gymnastics, traditional cardio, and light weightlifting movements using dumbbells, kettlebells, medicine balls, etc. (No barbell.) Super sweaty, super fun!

Boot Camp
Have some fun and stay in shape this summer! This 60 minute class is about improving your strength and stamina through a rugged, outdoor workout. Class consists of sports drills, running, circuits and interval training.

Cardio Core
A cardio class that is built towards having fun while getting your heart rate up. This class will use mostly body-weight exercises with a few pieces of equipment. A HIIT style workout that will make you feel good afterwards!

Cardio Kickboxing Mix
A combination of kickboxing and body-weight exercises designed to get your blood flowing, all in a high-paced, fun environment. Classes subject to change each week; Strong By Zumba, Partner Paddle Punching, & Cardio Kickboxing.

HIIT
High Intensity Interval Training involves high intensity movements followed by low intensity movements, getting your heart rate up with short breaks. This is a fast class with lots of cardio and we will end with a cool down. Come join!

HIIT to Kick
This class includes cardio kickboxing to music, with great cardio and then breaking up into fun strength activities. Park equipment and being outdoors adds to the excitement!

Move & Groove
Get ready for a fun and energetic class that uses a wide variety of music with step aerobics, combination step dance and much more. This class will have you will moving and grooving your way to better health.

Pop-Up Class
Each Thursday night there will be a new and exciting Pop-Up Class on the CityDeck. The type of class will be revealed on our Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FITintheParks/

Power Yoga
Incorporates yoga and Pilates fundamentals with athletic training for balance, mobility, flexibility, and the core. Emotive music drives the experience as you breathe and sweat through this full-body fitness journey.

Tai Chi
Tai chi, often referred to as meditation in motion, is a slow and continuous form of exercise designed to balance the mind, body and spirt. The practice of tai chi consists of a series of slow, graceful movements that are combined with deep breathing. Movements are without strain, and provide exercise and toning for every part of the body. Anyone, regardless of age or physical ability, can benefit from its practice.

Yoga For All Abilities
Yoga for all abilities- a class incorporating basic yoga postures that can be performed by anyone, whether seated on the ground, in a chair, or otherwise adapted for the participants needs.  This class will focus on breath work, relaxing postures, and meditation. This class will have a slower pace and structure more like a workshop than a "yoga flow" class suitable for anyone new to yoga or who wants to learn modifications.

Yoga on the Deck by Jenstar
Yoga on the Deck is recommended for anyone who wants to feel inspired, get connected with themselves and their community and wants to learn more about Yoga! This class is Vinyasa Flow style, but moves at a comfortable (slower) tempo highlighting basic postures. We cover breath connection, body alignment and relaxation to allow you to feel present, calm and strong in your body.

Zumba
Dance and aerobic movements performed to energetic music. The choreography incorporates fitness and dance at the same time!
