Geographic Information Systems (GIS) manages city-wide spatial databases and mapping support for the City of Green Bay. A geographic information system is a system designed to capture, store, manipulate, analyze, manage, and present all types of geographical data.

Staff Duties

GIS staff prepares custom graphical material and statistical information for department(s) reports and presentations, provides mapping information for the City's website, maintains and updates a variety of base maps, develops non-technical user friendly software programs to assist city staff in accessing spatial information, provide customer service for over the counter data and map requests, and assist other departments and governmental units with GIS and mapping requests.
